About Harsco GSC

Harsco GSC handles a wide range of services, finance and accounting shared services, global HR shared services, providing IT Service and helpdesk support and market research support to Harsco globally. We are Operating since 2008 & Serving 30+ Countries.

  • The Accountant and Company Secretary is a member of the India finance team to support India finance/business operations and achievement of AOP/Free Cash Flows targets and execute the mandatory Company secretarial activities of the organization. This role is offering an exceptional opportunity to work within a progressive organization with a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Executes all the Company Secretarial activities required by the organization

  • Involve in monthly closing process & make sure of timely completion of reporting with good accuracy

  • Managing India accounting activities such as sales invoice processing, credit control & cash application, supplier disbursements, inventory, fixed asset, and project cost accounting to ensure a wide range of accounting policies and practices are being adhered to and deployed to effectively and efficiently manage company assets and operations.

  • Working closely with GSC to make sure all transactions are being processed in a timely & accurate manner

  • US/India-GAAP compliance and financial controls including SOX, internal/external audit reviews, tax etc.

  • Support the preparation of India's financial cycles such as the Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts, and critical guiding measurables that will enable India's business to achieve business objectives, monitoring financial and business performance throughout the year.

  • Additional ad-hoc projects, reporting, and analysis necessary for financial management as assigned by immediate supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Company Secretary certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Commerce / Business Administration

  • 3-5 years of experience, out of which a minimum of 2 years in an international management team environment, preferably in a matrix organization structure.

  • Good US & India GAAP knowledge and accounting techniques

  • Previous experience in LRP systems and analytical tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot table), PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
