DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will take charge of a shift at a liquor store, supervising the activities of junior clerks who focus on specific tasks such as processing sales or receiving shipments. Your responsibilities will include not only overseeing other clerks but also performing essential routine tasks. You will be involved in customer service, operating the cash register, unloading deliveries, restocking shelves, creating displays, and maintaining store cleanliness. Additionally, you will train lower-level employees on store policies and procedures, assign and evaluate their work, prepare accounting and inventory reports for your shift, manage cash handling, and address customer service and product-related concerns. While you will independently carry out and direct routine store operations, you will consult with a manager or assistant manager for guidance on new or complex situations. Your work will be assessed by a manager through meetings and reports to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, as well as overall performance standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly Work hours vary between 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. Travel will be required as needed. Salary:The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (commonwealth titles); or Six months of retail sales work.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
