Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

We have several immediate openings in our welding department for entry-level MIG welders. These positions involve performing repair welds on carbon steel using wire-fed equipment. This is a production-based role with significant growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding for repair purposes on carbon steel materials.

  • Operate wire-fed welding equipment efficiently.

  • Ensure quality and accuracy in welding tasks.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with the team to meet production targets.

Essential Skills

  • MIG welding experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Blueprint reading.

  • Fabrication skills.

Work Environment

Our facility operates with 597 total employees across three shifts. The welding department currently works two shifts (5:30am-5:30pm and 5:30pm-5:30am) from Monday to Saturday, with work on most Sundays. The environment is high-pressure due to just-in-time production, and most welding is performed by robotic machines. Employees are required to work up to 60 hours per week and must be flexible to work weekends. The dress code includes a provided shirt, t-shirt, jeans without rips/tears, and closed-toe shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, Indiana.
