The Opportunity

We are hiring Avian Product Manager for North East Africa, based at Egypt, reporting to the Area Business Manager.

The Avian Product Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of the marketing strategies for Boehringer’s avian products range in North East Africa. Identifying market trends for strategic marketing planning purpose. Developing and realizing Boehringer’s avian brands related qualitative and quantitative objectives. Providing marketing support for stakeholders in the portfolio of scope internal and external.

Tasks & responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy Planning and Implementation:

  • Prepares strategic marketing plans of assigned products portfolio in-line with the global marketing strategy in order to achieve mid- and long-term brand targets.

Portfolio Quantitative/Qualitative Targets:

  • Provides accurate demand forecasting and planning for the portfolio in charge.

Stakeholders Engagement:

  • Establishes strong network with internal functions (Global and Regional Strategic Marketing, Global Innovation, ROPU Supply Chain Management, ROPU/OPU Customer Engagement & Excellence) and direct customers (KOLs, Producers, Retailers and Distributors).

  • Provides proper communication and reports on key market developments and trends and brand performance to ABM and team members.

  • Provides innovative solutions on launching products to customers.

Compliance Alignment

  • Ensures and supports compliance

Forecasting & Supply:

  • Monitor forecast accuracy provided by the distributor

Requirements

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine is preferred, Master Degree in Marketing will be a plus

  • 3-5 years or more of marketing experience in Animal Health with a proven track record of strategy setting & execution.

  • Previous work experience in strategic marketing management is required

  • Knowledge of the Animal Health Industry, economics and drivers

  • Business fluent in English & Arabic is a must

  • Demonstrate agility within a cross functional team

  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
