Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.The primary purpose of the research assistant position is to support research that focuses on understanding and promoting optimal child developmental health among children from under-resourced communities.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Ensuring accurate and timely input and management of interview, survey and focus group data.
  • Recruiting potential participants and obtaining informed consent in clinical and community settings.
  • Conducting interviews and focus groups in English and Spanish.
  • Assisting with data collection, basic analysis and preparation of abstracts and manuscripts with supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • The applicant must be an undergraduate/ graduate student or recent graduate of an accredited college or university, with computer experience including excel.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to speak Spanish, desired.
