J&J Family of Companies Senior Tax Analyst, International Tax in New Brunswick, New Jersey
Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Tax Analyst, International Tax Advocacy and Planning. In this role, the candidate will primarily be responsible for supporting operationalization of various international tax planning opportunities and process improvements related to U.S. international tax compliance and reporting. The candidate’s work location will be in New Brunswick, NJ. The position will incorporate the J&J Flex Hybrid Work Model which requires 3 days a week on site and may require up to 10% travel (Domestic/International). This position directly reports to the Senior Manager of International Tax Advocacy and Planning and will collaborate closely with a variety of groups including the Country Tax Centers, Tax and Reporting Groups, Sector Tax Planning, Tax Technology and the Corporate Controllers Group.

Primary Responsibilities:
Support implementation of tax planning and process improvement opportunities
Assist with data collection and coordination in support of various advocacy efforts
Assist with modeling exercises assessing the impacts of potential prospective international legislation
Support communication, guidance and training activities for various international tax work streams
Assist with gathering of tax data in response to Information Document Requests (IDRs”) issued by the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) as part of the federal income tax examination
Support operationalization of various tracking and monitoring efforts in relation to current and new disclosure requirements (e.g., ATAD, CbCR, etc.)
Work with various teams on Procedures, Controls and SOP updates
Drive ongoing process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Perform other work-related duties as assigned and support various ad hoc planning and special project work
This role supports various international tax advocacy and Tax planning initiatives in accordance with the J&J Credo as further aligned with business strategies, platforms and the legal environment. This role deploys best practices, manages risks, and remains current with industry international tax planning developments.
The successful candidate must be a self-directed individual able to exercise a high level of independent judgment, execute activities in a highly complex environment, and possess strong communication, business partnering and people management skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CMA preferred
Minimum of 3 years of tax experience working in a Big 4 Accounting Firm and/or a large multinational organization
Knowledge of US International Tax concepts (GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Subpart F Income, foreign tax credits, E&P, etc.)
Knowledge of US GAAP and income tax accounting principles
Strong analytical abilities (data, fact patterns, external tax/legal frameworks)
Proficiency in MS Office Professional (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and ability to utilize other technology resources
Self-directed individual with strong communication and partnering skills
Ability to execute innovative solutions to meet business needs and to manage risk in a quickly changing external environment
OneSource and Corptax experience preferred
ERP experience preferred
Tax research and writing skills preferred
The base pay range for this position is $73,000 to $117,300
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
