The Manager, Business Operations and Controls is responsible to develop, implement, and maintain engineering processes that drive capital, project, and operational efficiencies for Global Engineering and the engineering community through standardized process, operational excellence tools and systems

Provide leadership to develop and maintain standardized business processes to achieve operational performance serving Global Engineering and BMS Engineering, such as Project Governance and Controls and Reliability Excellence.

  • Accountable for the Stage Gate capital governance process for the engineering community and all capital projects.

  • Responsible to review and align site capital projects and facilitate projects approvals for the annual CapEx portfolio ($1 Billion annually).

  • Accountable to ensure compliance with the Stage Gate process for capital projects requiring approval from Global Product Supply Capital Committee.

  • Responsible to manage capital presentations, metrics, drivers, etc. by working across the enterprise with key stakeholders such as Capital Strategy Leads, BU clients, Site Engineering, and Finance.

  • Work with Confidential, strategic, and sensitive information to achieve enterprise results.

  • Develop and manage performance data, analytics, and Key Performance Indicators related to engineering processes, and Global Engineering business performance and CapEx performance.

  • Responsible to support the global sites during capital projection cycles.

  • Apply operational excellence tools to achieve standardized delivery and process improvements.

  • Support selected CapEx programs with project controls processes, practices, and tools.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field, MBA preferred.

  • 6+ years of experience related to engineering, construction, or manufacturing

  • Experience with Operational Excellence systems and Tools, and Six Sigma principles

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is preferred

  • Experience with strategic capital investment planning and assessments.

  • Proven ability to lead and interact across all levels of the enterprise to achieve results through influence.

  • Ability to rapidly navigate the organization, and identify, align, and integrate cross-functional resources into cohesive ad-hoc teams•

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrixed environment is essential

  • Regularly seeks opportunity to deliver Innovation and continuous improvement to meet changing business needs.

  • Experience with Capital Project Management and Project Controls processes
