Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant for the Institute for Health, HealthCare Policy, and Aging Research. The Research Assistant will work on behavioral medicine research projects. These projects examine the intersection of psychosocial processes and health and healthcare outcomes, to support future intervention development. Population of focus will primarily be patients with cancer, with an emphasis on patient coping, treatment decision-making, quality of life, and end-of-life care among patients with advanced disease. Related projects may include examinations of oncologist behavior, caregiver impact, and use of claims data.The position will work under the direction of Login George, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Institute for Health, Healthcare Policy, and Aging Research and the School of Nursing. Primary host location will be the Institute for HealthAmong the key duties of the position are the following:
Responsible for supporting ongoing and new research projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral medicine or health related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Two years relevant experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with clinical research, patient research interviews, electronic health record data abstraction, and familiarity with REDCap data collection tool.
