Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for our Neonatal Unit, in our New Brunswick Facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association

Preferred:

  • Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.

  • Certified nursing assistant preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift, 20 hours per week, 7a-3:30p, includes every other weekend and holidays.

Essential Functions:

  • The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care.

  • Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service

  • Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions

  • Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient s care

  • Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from ad mission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning

Requirements, Qualifications:

American Heart Association CPR required,

Work under the direction of unit leadership, charge RN, and nursing supervisors to provide care to the patients on the unit,

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Taking vital signs, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, and feedings,

Additionally, NICU CCT s will also be trained to clean unit specific patient equipment and stock unit specific carts,

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one year of hire,

Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment,

A hired candidate will be provided one year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain

their HSEA,
