Posting Summary | The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for a full-time, assistant professor tenure-track faculty position in the School Psychology Department. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to conduct research, supervise graduate student research and/or field-based experiences, and teach graduate courses in an APA-accredited School Psychology Program. The minimum qualifications to be considered for this position include a doctorate in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, other relevant field, or enrollment in an APA-accredited doctoral program at the time of application, with expected degree completion by June 2022. It is preferable that the applicant is licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist and/or credentialed as a school psychologist. We seek applicants who have a developing record of demonstrated excellence in research consistent with an early career stage (e.g., emerging/developing lines of scholarship). The applicants would also demonstrate promise for procuring external funding, strong methodological skills, and an emerging and coherent program of research. Specific areas of research are open. Departmental teaching needs are in required assessment courses (e.g., cognitive assessment, learning disabilities assessment, social/behavioral/personality assessment). Strong preference will be given to applicants with a commitment to reducing opportunity gaps in schools, enhancing access to effective services and/or improving outcomes for diverse children and families.We encourage applications from individuals who will add to the diversity of our faculty. The department houses an APA-accredited and NASP-approved PsyD program in School Psychology and a Masters in Applied Psychology focused on Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. The School Psychology faculty strongly support faculty development/mentorship and excellence.
