The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School invites applications for a tenure-track position in clinically-based translational auditory research to begin on or before July 1, 2022. We especially welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds performing outstanding research at the intersection of hearing loss, physiology, and behavior in rodent models.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Applicants should have postdoctoral experience and independent NIH funding, such as a K99 or R01 grant. The tenure track rank will be at assistant professor. Applicants will be evaluated on their potential to establish a prominent, highly collaborative, externally funded research program that investigates clinical models of hearing loss-based disorders with an emphasis on treatments and preventative measures. Individuals with research programs geared towards investigating the effects of age-induced hearing loss, especially as it relates to the onset of dementia are highly encouraged to apply.
