DATTCO has an opening for a full-time Claims Representative in New Britain, CT. This position will oversee auto liability, general liability and workers- compensation claims from gathering the information on the injury or illness, reporting the claim to the carrier, managing the claim to include monitoring reserves, doctor reports, light duty notification and assignments, coordinating with the carrier on appropriate actions, resolving claims to closure and audit monthly billing.
This in a full-time, in-office position and remote work is not approved.

Primary Responsibilities
Claim intake and file set up with insurance carrier
Proactively manage light duty assignments and return to work; prepare modified duty letters and follow up with manager for updates and return to work
Monitor claim activity, including monitoring doctors- reports, determine when surveillance is needed and coordinate same
Work with carrier and defense counsel to facilitate resolution
Determine if claims meet OSHA requirements and update OSHA logs as needed
Maintain a relationship with Occupation Health Facilities
Maintain workers comp spreadsheet
Monitor reserves
Communicate updates to management
Participate in claims reviews
Participate in hearings as required
Process certificates of insurance when requested
Confirm employee count and hours worked for OSHA logs
Prepare and submit OSHA logs to terminals and with the state
Prepare reports for audits as requested
Review loss runs and billing for accuracy and communicate errors
After invoice review, submit invoices for payment
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years- claims experience with workers- compensation or auto liability claims
Claims adjuster license
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A high school diploma or equivalent
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Work full-time from our office in New Britain
