Meridian Behavioral Health Manager of Compliance Operations in New Brighton, Minnesota

Manager of Compliance OperationsLocation: New Brighton, MN

Meridian Behavioral Health LLC is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery services, with a network of addiction treatment centers in Minnesota. The Manager for Compliance Operations is a seasoned clinician and operational leader who is dedicated to helping teams establish and uphold regulations, driving best-in-class, ethical patient care. The Manager for Compliance Operations has direct reporting responsibility to the VP of Clinical Services and interacts closely with the executive team to ensure quality performance across the organization. The Manager for Compliance Operations works with their leadership to manage the business process involving compliance regulations, overseeing the compliance team members, and ensuring 245G adherence across the organization. Pay DOE, $85-110/year.

Duties and responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Collaborate with compliance and divisional leaders to interpret and guide implementation of 245G co-occurring program policies and requirements:

  • Develop and deliver training for cross divisional procedural needs.

  • Lead implementation of compliance initiatives across residential and outpatient program divisions.

  • Manage direct requests in coordination with the VP of Clinical Services, VP of Operations, and CEO.

  • Maintain knowledge of MDH/DHS licensing renewal processes, partnering with directors to ensure licenses and credentials are up to date.

  • Own the compliance audit process and corrective requirements across the organization.

  • Conduct cross-departmental compliance risk assessments, trend analyses, and provide recommendations for best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee auditor requests

  • Prepare teams through development and facilitation of routine program surveys, documentation audits, and just-in-time training.

  • Prepare summary reporting for leaders and other key stakeholders.

  • Provide supervisory oversight to compliance team members.

  • Assist in selecting and recruiting compliance team members.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.

  • Function as a leader in change management strategies.

Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, nursing or a human service field

Experience 

  • Proven successful leadership with Behavioral or Healthcare Programs and Services 

  • Minimum of two-years’ experience in operational management or supervisory activities

Required Skills, Knowledge and Ability

  • Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to details.

  • Proven success in working across multiple levels of an organization, leading operational

  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing SUD and Mental Health Care. 

  • Knowledge of chemical and mental health concerns and their treatment.

  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovative thinking. 

  • Performs other duties as  

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Terminal clinical licensure (LADC, RN, LPCC, LMFT, or LICSW)

  • Master’s degree in business, nursing or a human services field

  • Two or more years post-graduate experience leading quality improvement or project management initiatives 

  • Two or more years post-graduate experience in a clinical role
