Continental Supervisor Shipping and Receiving - night shift in New Braunfels, Texas

Join the New Braunfels, TX team for the exciting journey of a new facility start-up (Greenfield). The $110 million facility will manufacture Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for automated and assisted driving. Join the Continental team that manufactures products that save lives everyday!

Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in shipping and receiving of products, components, and/or replacement parts and in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment. Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

Core Responsibilities

  • Direct the scope of materials warehouse functions and production material flow process;

  • Ensure procedures are in place and are followed to meet TS16949 requirements and documentation maintained;

  • Implement procedures and training to ensure a safe, clean and harmonious work environment. This includes operation of powered vehicles, automated battery handling systems and other warehouse equipment;

  • Ensure the accuracy of all material movement and support the continuous Improvement process as well as 5S and lean manufacturing practices.

  • Train employees on proper materials management functions;

  • Responsible to ensure all company and leased employees, visitors and contractors are aware of and compliant to all Continental plant permits, policies and procedures including, but not limited to, environmental, health, safety, security, ISO 14001 and Environmental Management systems, TS 16949 and Quality Management Systems, Human Resources policies, and Continental Business System elements while in the Warehouse area;

  • supervise, train and develop subordinates to manage material accuracy and timely delivery to internal and external customers. Responsible for performance evaluations of direct reports.

  • Actively participate in cost reductions and promote team activity

  • Compliance to all Continental plant permits, policies and procedures including, but not limited to, environmental, health, safety, security, ISO 14001 and Environmental Management systems, TS 16949 and Quality Management Systems, Human Resources policies, and Continental Business System elements.

  • Ensure shipment notifications meet all customer requirements;

  • Support production schedule with proper parts as required

Basic Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelors degree OR Minimum 4 years of warehouse experience if no relevant Bachelors Degree

  • 3 years of warehouse experience

  • Excel Experience

  • Receiving and Shipping Warehouse experience

  • 1 year experience of leadership experience

  • 5 years of warehouse experience

  • 2 years experience of leadership experience

  • SAP experience
