Accounting Specialist
New Bern, NC/ Full-time
Your responsibilities
Responsible for processing vendor invoices and first reviews of payment supporting documentation prior to disbursement
AP Inputting Duties:
Process invoices, expense report reimbursements and check requests in SAP after obtaining required approvals and clearing any pricing or quantity discrepancies.
Process internal charge backs and related vendor notes.
Reconcile statements from vendors.
Other Duties
Accumulate unprocessed invoice data and prepare necessary accrual entries as required for domestic and international payables.
Perform first review of disbursement documentation to ensure proper and adequate support exists prior to execution of payment.
Review and monitor AP processes with goal of continually making improvement in the processes to increase efficiency.
Provide backup coverage for other Accounting Specialists.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Have knowledge of 1099 requirements on vendors.
Your profile
High-School Diploma - Required
Associate degree (Accounting) - Preferred
0-2 Years of Experience (Accounts Payable Experience) - Required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills required.
Your Pay and Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based onyourspecific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
