Position Summary: Responsible for directly assisting project manager(s) to complete traffic control and pavement markings on roadway projects. Duties include supporting the management of day-to-day operations of the crews and equipment at the branch location.
The Role:
This position is a working manager role, assisting with supervisory activities on the jobsite. This position is responsible for assisting with branch operations including submittals, safety, staffing, production, inventory, timecard review/approval, recording of revenue and earnings.
Essential Functions:
Assist with safe and efficient supervision, coordination and execution of work in field and shop environment.
Examine highway/roadway plans and drawings to gather and prepare information for completing highway work.
Manage assigned projects as directed by the Project Manager(s).
Assist with branch operations including quantity take-offs, coordination of material procurement.
Provide pricing and project specific quotes for equipment rentals and local projects.

Understands the importance of safety culture in a construction environment.
Demonstrates a strong ability to readily adapt to changing schedules and jobsite conditions.
Ability to interact with customers and agencies regarding scheduling, disputes, changes in scope of work, etc.
Knowledge and Skills:
An understanding of state specifications for devices and materials.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. with ability to learn project management system.
Understanding of job costing and revenue recognition.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in planning and resource allocation for both people and equipment.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates Degree preferred.
Experience in heavy highway (or road construction) environment strongly desired.
Ability to maintain a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record at all times.
