Ahead LLC Warehouse Associate - Box Truck Exp. Preferred in New Bedford, Massachusetts

The Warehouse Driver is responsible for driving, delivering, receiving, organizing, and storing incoming and outgoing inventory.  They are also responsible for unloading trucks and restocking shelves according to established procedures.  Successful completion of these duties is an essential component in ensuring company-wide goals and on-time delivery of products between the main and secondary warehouses.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • none

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pick and match orders to production sheets.

  • Label cartons with Best Start Ship (BSS) dates.

  • Complete pick slips and deliver cartons to assigned areas/buildings.

  • Unload trucks.

  • Break down and check in shipments

  • Restock shelves.

  • Clean pick rows nightly.

  • Operating industrial power equipment

  • Additional duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Pass the DOT Physical

  • Possess a valid Class D driver’s license

  • Maintain a good driving record

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow directions.

  • Ability to solve problems.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.

  • Ability to pick orders quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to count quickly but accurately.

  • Ability to use the following tools and machinery.

  • Forklift

  • Hand truck

  • Pallet jack

  • Must be able to operate (or train on) Order Picking Machine/Cherry Picker.

     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to reach and use hands, fingers, and arms.

  • Ability to move about the facility.

  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel and crouch

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Exposure to moderate noise levels.

    VISION REQUIREMENT:

  • Close and distance vision.

  • Color vision.

    PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

  • Closed-toe footwear is required when entering the Production Floor (as needed).

  • Safety Glasses (as needed).

  • Safety Harness (as needed).

    SCHEDULE:

  • 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with Overtime (Saturday 7 am-noon) as required
