Job Description:
Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management. Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures. Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes. Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of Software Quality Assurance standards, methods and procedures for evaluating the accuracy of software products and services in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Verification of software and firmware process compliance through active engagement with cross functional team members within engineering, operations and program management throughout the entire development and production lifecycle, from contract review through maintenance activities. Performs independent internal audits on existing processes, products and services to verify compliance to internal policies, procedures, and customer requirements (including customer required industry standards i.e. ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9115, etc.) Analyzes data collected from product and process nonconformities, discrepancies, and audits to identify risks and opportunities for improvement. May lead corrective action review boards and facilitate Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA), as well as improvement projects, utilizing Lean tools and Six Sigma principles. May serve as the primary interface to customers and software suppliers for quality related matters
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
