Intel Commodity Manager in New Albany, Ohio

The Construction and Facilities Supply Chain (CFSC) team resides within GSCO and plays a critical role in enabling Intel's IDM 2.0 Strategy. Our team is growing to support capacity expansion and is looking for an individual contributor to join our team supporting construction contracts for large capital projects at our greenfield site in New Albany, Ohio.

As a Construction Facilities Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

Develop and present a rationale for construction contracting and compensation strategies.

  • Participate in the development and execution of contracts used to procure design, construction, and other construction-related services supporting Intel fab construction projects.

  • Role modeling standard business processes, ensuring compliance with corporate, fiscal, legal, environmental, and risk management policies to minimize and limit corporate liability, manage risk, and optimize value.

  • Provide training and influencing construction project managers, buyers, and project team members on business processes and related tools.

  • Gain proficiency in contract documents and standard business processes.

  • Compare and evaluate 'key performance indicators.

  • Facilitate resolution of any contract disputes or escalations.

  • Provide expertise on construction contracting methods, understanding the relationship between contractual responsibilities and assignment of risk, and a basic understanding of the relationship between construction costs, quality, and schedule.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study.

  • 3+ years experience in a Construction or Construction related field (Internships or MBA construction experience can qualify as relevant experience.

  • 3+ years experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or sourcing.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Procurement planning and procurement policy expertise.

  • Supply chain and supplier management experience.

  • Working knowledge of project management skills and methods.

  • Understand and apply benchmarking concepts.

  • Knowledge of the local/regional market in relation to industry trends and norms.

  • Knowledge of contracts, contract law, and claims management processes and procedures.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
