Tennessee Valley Regional Housing Authority Maintenance Mechanic (New Albany) in New Albany, Mississippi
High School graduate, or equivalent GED diploma, with at least five (5) years experience in the home building and repair field, refrigerant certification as required by 40 CFR part 82 Subpart f. Must possess and excellent knowledge in all areas of residential building maintenance, i.e. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating, refrigeration, etc., and must be physically able to perform these tasks including bending, climbing, and lifting. Be able to operate tractors, lawnmowers, saws, and small power tools, and have the ability to plan, organize and perform assigned duties with minimum supervision. Some supervisory experience is desirable. Be able to travel, operate a motor vehicle, and meet Housing Authority driver approval standards. Loss of vehicle operator license, or insurability by employer, will result in employee not being able to perform the duties of this position.
