Strategic Account Manager – Western U.S.

The Strategic Account Manager drives sales for Gale In Context: For Educators in the Western U.S. through direct customer contact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create and implement sales strategies, maximizing sales through identifying customers’ needs, matching Gale products to those needs, preparing and delivering sales presentations, writing proposals and closing sales.

  • Acquire and strengthen product and market knowledge for the K12 team; work closely with the rest of the sales team and marketing, customer support and product development by offering market feedback and intelligence.

  • Engage in other business activities to sell products to customers, such as e-mail campaigns and conference events.

  • Forecast projected sales and update activity in CRM systems.

  • Conduct extensive travel throughout the Western U.S., once pandemic restrictions are lifted.

    Skills You’ll Need:

    Required:

  • Knowledge of K12 education, including curriculum, instruction and educational technology, including learning management systems and digital learning resources.

  • Field sales experience, with a track record of goal achievement.

  • Talent for cultivating effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.

  • Technology skills, including CRM systems such as SalesForce/SalesCloud.

  • Organizational skills to manage the territory as a business.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Ability to conduct online meetings and maintain a home office.

  • Ability to drive throughout the territory (when possible), including overnight travel.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
