Acelero Learning Floater Extended Day Teacher in Neptune Center, New Jersey

Working as a Floater Assistant /Extended Teacher at Acelero Learning will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and transferable skills towards a remarkable and rewarding career path. You will work collaboratively with the Teacher to ensure the successful operation of a Head Start classroom of children following the Head Start/Early Head Start operating day. Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the social and emotional development of children

  • Communication and Service Coordination

  • On-going Monitoring, Record Keeping and Reporting

  • Plan and implement learning experiences that advance children's intellectual and physical development.

  • Develop children’s literacy, phonemic, print, and numeracy awareness.

  • Improve children's understanding and use of language, appreciation of books, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

  • Encourage the involvement of the families of the children in a Head Start program.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Required

  • The commitment and passion to work with children

  • Proficient ability to interact effectively verbally and in writing and bais computer literacy.

  • Preschool CDA (Child Development Associates) Credentials, or the willingness to enroll to complete within two years

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in any field or are enrolled in a program to obtain such a degree.

This position is full-time with benefits and requires work on-site Monday to Friday from 9:30 am - 5:30 pm at 200, NJ-35, Neptune City, NJ and earns $16.35/hr. for non-bilingual and $16.80/hr. for bilingual candidates.

Pre Hire Requirements:

  • Fingerprint Screening (CHRI), a Background Check (CARI), Two Reference Letters, and Physical exams with a TB Test are required for this position.

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License and a reliable transportation

  • Please note: All new hires must attend the four days (Tuesday - Friday: 9 am to 3 pm) of mandatory New Employee Orientation Training at South Amboy Center - 310 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879 upon completion of pre-hire documents.
