JOB REQUIREMENTS: We currently have a career opportunity for a full-time Mortgage Loan Officer based out of our Neenah branch and supporting our Oshkosh branch as well! The Mortgage Loan Officer assists members with all their mortgage lending needs while providing a superior experience, including analyzing loan requests and making decisions based on mortgage lending policy. The primary responsibilities of the Mortgage Loan Officer role include but are not limited to: Promoting and upholding the Fox Mission, Purpose, Vision, and Values Interviewing members and prospects to gather information concerning their mortgage lending needs Updating and completing a full and accurate application Collecting, analyzing, and submitting all required and necessary supporting documentation to process the application Reviewing and evaluating information on mortgage loan documents to determine if buyer, property, and loan conditions meet credit union and governmental standards; handling requests for mortgage refinance in the same manner Explaining loan programs to members, evaluating their needs, and recommending loan options Analyzing member credit reports to determine and offer other products and services that may be beneficial Reviewing all loan documents for completeness and accuracy Promoting the credit union\'s mortgage lending program to companies and individuals within the real estate community Keeping informed of current trends in mortgage lending and market factors affecting mortgage lending, and participating in any internal or external training provided Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations Participating in sales development activities and cross-selling other credit union services that would benefit the member Acting as a backup when a team member is out of the office Serving members by communicating via phone or email to answer all post-closing questions and situations Candidates for the Mortgage Loan Officer position should possess: (1) A high school education or GED (two-year college degree preferred), or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program Must be able to obtain and maintain registry with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry as required by the S.A.F.E. Act Three to five years of similar or related experience Knowledge of the secondary market and experience with first and second mortgage residential real estate lending Basic understanding of financial credit counseling tools Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and team members Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong initiative, self-direction and a focus on financial relationship building Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products Branch hours: Mon.-Fri. 8am-5:30pm, Sat. 9am-12pm Fox Communities Credit Union is a \$3 billion in assets community-based credit union serving more than 130,000 members at over 20 locations.
