Position Summary/Description:
This Postdoctoral Research Associate position will use genetic and molecular biological approaches to investigate the genetic and immunological basis of Campylobacter jejuni induced colitis and autoimmunity. The Postdoc will also use genetic techniques to construct C jejuni and E coli strains in which the LOS component regulatory system is either inactive or constitutively active and will conduct immunology experiments to investigate the scope of disease modulation caused by these infections. The postdoctoral research associate will also train and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.
Education and Experience:
Experience working with bacteria and mouse handling. Experience with flow cytometry and genetic manipulation of bacteria.
