Critical Infrastructure (CI) Business Area within ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is looking for a Head of Business Unit ALCEA India to have responsibility of the business development, sales growth and profitability of the CI business in India region. What you will be doing as a Head of Business Unit
Overall management, sales and business development of the Critical Infrastructure business in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka
Developing and executing the strategic plan for the business unit, aligning with the overall company goals
Responsible for the financial performance of the business unit (full P&L responsibility)
Responsible for managing and developing sales team and efficient customer service/back-office team
Working closely with the key customers to understand their operations, identify opportunities and build a win-win approach to our solutions with the customers
Close involvement in developing new key customers and distribution network
Strong participation in creating new Critical Infrastructure segments/accounts and developing old ones
Building and developing relationships to key market influencers and interest groups
Understanding market trends and opportunities to develop initiatives and strategies to take advantage of these trends
Driving recurring revenue growth
Developing operational efficiency
Ensuring compliance of the company and staff with local laws and accounting and corporate regulations.
What we are looking for
Qualifications and Experience
Academic degree in bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
A proven track record of sales and business development within the Professional End User market and System Integrator/Access Control market
Previous experience of some of the Critical Infrastructure verticals: transportation, telecommunication, energy, water, oil and gas is desirable
Comprehensive understanding of value-sales process, to build up successful business cases, and ability to translate user information into a compelling investment decision, leading to closing of orders
Experience in a comparable successful leadership position managing P&L
Proven leadership skills
Competent and confident leader who leads by example, with the ability to motivate and inspire others, make tough decisions, and navigate complex situations, is crucial.
Experience of customer relationship management
Experience of overall operational management is an advantage
Ability to develop and implement commercial strategies, meeting company goals and objectives
Excellent communication and negotiating skills delivered with diplomatic and firm convictions
Self-motivated, and with the ability to plan and organize a demanding work load efficiently and effectively
Competent with MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Microsoft CRM and ERP systems is desirable
Fluent in English, both written and spoken; any other local language is an asset
Ability to travel regularly in the region
