Naval Supply Systems Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Naval Support Activity, Pennsylvania

Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will provide advice and guidance to NAVSUP program managers regarding the design and development of new Integrated Product Support (IPS) approaches, concepts, practices, and methods. You will establish goals, designates responsibilities, and interpret impact on overarching programs associated with life-cycle supply support logistics. You will represent NAVSUP WSS as the Program Support Inventory Control Point (PSICP) on all program supply support issues, policies, and procedures. You will ensure that supply support is fully planned and resourced, and that all supporting tasks are accomplished. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Developing and directing supply support concepts and plans to ensure the appropriate types and levels of supply support are in place for managed projects; 2) Providing advice and guidance to program managers regarding the design and development of new ILS approaches, concepts, practices and methods; 3) Tailoring Navy policy, concepts, and procedures to meet program guidelines, stay within funding constraints, and ensure the organization's directives are incorporated into the support provisions of various contracts; and 4) Developing evaluation criteria and metrics for use throughout the life of the program or platform.
