Naval Supply Systems Command LEAD GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in Naval Station Complex, California

Summary You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Logistics Support Team Division of NAVSUP FLC SD GF. Responsibilities You will collaborate with the Logistic Support Team log planner, Littoral Combat Ship Team Lead, and logistic Support Centers in planning, scheduling and implementing comprehensive inventory support for LCS ships deployed and in homeport. You will assume the role of conducting and reviewing logistic and financial operations within the LST as well as supporting the LCS sea frame. You will receive material request from customer and coordinate best method of acquisition. You will prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplished and administrative information from various systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications I have at least one year of specialized experience performing General Supply Specialist Work Equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or equivalent pay band level in the Federal service which demonstrates an applied knowledge of Supply Chain Management and financial management regulations in order to analyze, evaluate and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of Supply Systems, Logistics, and financial management operations in support Navy installations and Fleet customers. I also have experience leading and/or coaching team members in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques. Specialized experience must include the following: 1) Management of multiple classes of supply such as repair parts, petroleum, equipage, subsistence and consumables and mission packages in support of ships; 2) Management of more than one phase of inventory and financial management (requirements, determination, acquisition, local purchases, distribution, finance, material issue, retention, and disposal). 3) Utilize a variety of Supply and financial management databases to review, examine, validate, and coordinate supply and financial functions in order to assess their impact on current and planned operations ;4) Render, interpretation of directives, instructions and manuals through identification and analysis of relationships among organizational need, objectives and requirements; 5) Experience in gathering, assembling, consolidating supply operations, financial data and drawing conclusions and effectively communicate recommendations both orally and in writing.
