Naval Medical Command HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST in Naval Medical Center, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST in the Healthcare Analytics Department of NAVMEDFORLANT PORTSMOUTH VA. Responsibilities You will be resolving management issues related to health care delivery, resource and cost analysis, independent financial reviewer and policy analysis. You will be utilizing business optimization initiatives to manage network costs, maximize training experience of clinical staff and manage enrollment and market share. You will be reviewing the work products of subordinates and accept, amend or reject work and evaluating subordinates performance. You will be assuring that the work of the assigned team is carried out by performing a range of coordination and supportive duties and responsibilities. You will be leading, communicating, training, monitoring, reporting on and representing the team in all aspects. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience utilizing healthcare terminology. - Experience applying functions of business practices of clinicians, medical administrators, and ancillary support personnel in healthcare clinic settings. - Experience in applying quantitative techniques to solve problems and provide solutions for management on complex healthcare delivery issues in unique environments within the Military Healthcare system. - Experience in managing or leading projects or initiatives related to health system improvements. - Experience in providing advisory services to management and stakeholders on health system issues. - Experience in preparing analytical correspondence for Senior Level Officers and Staff.
