Naval Education and Training Command TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida
Summary You will serve as a Naval Aviation Schools Command (NASC) Course Supervisor in the N7 Department of NAVAL AVIATION SCHOOLS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will teach Enlisted personnel skills and knowledge required to become a Naval Aircrewman. You will perform periodic required high-risk training observations, track instructor training qualifications, and enter safety data in Corporate Enterprise Safety Applicant Management System (ESAMS). You will conduct evaluations of high-risk training instructors, conduct, and oversee drills, emergency action plans, and inspections, and teach and attend required courses/training in order to maintain Training Safety Officer (TSO) qualifications. You will serve as the Red Cross Administrator to manage the Command's American Red Cross (ARC) program and qualifications for staff and students. You will utilize a wide range of safety precautions and controls in order to avoid injuries and accidents of either yourself or students sufficient to handle mild to severe accidents that occasionally occur during physical training. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Individual Occupational Requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying concepts, principles, and methodologies of instruction to the development and supervision of curricula; 2) Utilizing the Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM-II) software program to develop electronic curricula products; 3) Implementing and supervising safety precautions as well as conducting safety training and monitoring emergency procedures; and 4) Creating and maintaining Training Project Plans (TPP), Training Course Control Documents (TCCD), developing lesson guides, trainee guides, test plans and analyses, and instructional media. Individual Occupational Requirements (IORs): Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
