Naval Air Systems Command VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST in Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida

Summary You will serve as a VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEASTCOMMANDING OFFICER PAO/PROTOCOL OFC of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will review materials or graphical data and make suggestions or ideas concerning photographs, charts, diagrams, or any artwork required by the client. You will use desktop publishing software to create page layouts for pamphlets, booklets, programs and trifolds for distribution in both printed and electronic form. You will perform advanced visual information work using digital photo/video/graphic manipulation software (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Acrobat, etc.). You will operate a wide variety of digital still and video cameras, lighting, sound equipment and other accessories to meet the requirements of specific projects. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: specialized experience Develop and prepare booklets, trifolds, murals, mosaics, photo-illustrations and other related materials, to clarify the role and mission of the organization and promote employee involvement, productivity and morale. Review project plans and requirements with supervisor and client to recommend possible materials to be used according to superiority in terms of conveying the information, reproducibility, or visual effect. Plan and illustrate concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type, style, and related aesthetics. Produce materials as needed to support technical, engineering, industrial, training, safety, security, accident investigations and other visual information. Plan, develop and execute a variety of marketing materials, infographics and flyers to special programs including the command's business office, apprentice program, holiday and morale-building events, diversity/EEO events and others.
