Minerals & Waste Planner | Principal / Associate / Technical Director
Stantec is seeking an experienced Minerals & Waste Planning professional to support the delivery of a variety of minerals and waste projects and to grow and influence the direction and strategy of our minerals and waste planning offering. The right candidate will bring experience, ambition and enthusiasm to the role.

About You
The successful candidate will provide input to and lead a range of multi-disciplinary projects, providing expert planning and development advice to clients on a variety of planning and permitting matters. You will negotiate on behalf of clients regarding the promotion of sites and planning applications, prepare written representations, and support public inquiry appeals and examination hearings. We will want you to grow our technical capability, contribute to and lead business development activities in the sector and grow the recognition of Stantec and its expanding minerals and waste capabilities, as well as wider services.
You will be Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, expected to be in the field of science, environment or engineering along with Chartered status with a relevant organisation (eg MRTPI). Your people leadership, client management and technical excellence will be critical to your success and you will have the desire to grow a new team by carving out future opportunities in the marketplace.
