General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Service Level Manager (SLM) with Cloud experience.

Join an exciting and dynamic team delivering a large-scale Enterprise Common Tools cloud platform, automation & orchestration, and Cloud Application Migration effort for the Army. This team works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with engineering, migration, and operations & sustainment of cloud migration efforts. Enterprise Common Tools and specific Army program customer migration efforts provide a range of day-to-day challenges, while the bigger picture architecture and migration efforts provide tangible milestones that the team pursues together following AGILE practices, to deliver the overall program effort. We’re looking for self-starter Leads and technical engineers, to work both as part of team and on individual assignments, in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity and communications. We’re looking to fill this role/team with those who currently have the cloud experience, certifications, and skills to execute in large enterprise environments, are flexible and enjoy tackling challenges, and desire to join a large team that is building and sustaining a large multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise and migrating/expanding/automating the enterprise. The key position will support GDIT’s established managed service provider (MSP) offering in a multi-cloud environment. GDIT will deliver an MSP solution which will optimize and ensure continued performance excellence during the cloud migration and continued cloud operation of critical client business systems.

GDIT is seeking an SLM that has hands-on technical experience with cloud computing to achieve continuous improvement in service delivery. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure. To ensure defined service levels are maintained, the cloud landscape will need to be proactively managed and the SLM will need to have regular meetings with the customers to provide updates on the Service Level achievements and obtain input into demand management requirements and Continual Service Improvements.

For this effort, GDIT will use cloud-based concepts to migrate and support the Government’s critical business applications by using customer-centric and ITIL-aligned service delivery models. The application of these concepts will result in a framework for integrating commercial off-the-shelf, non-proprietary technologies to avoid “vendor-lock”. Seeking a SLM that can provide unique integration, configuration, and delivery of technologies to create value-added capabilities.

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years of experience with at least 3 years of hands-on Service Now experience

  • ITIL Certifications, Foundation and Intermediate

  • ITIL Expert/Managing Professional certification required

  • Experience in cloud platforms and technologies

  • Experience with multi cloud environments and data integration for service level reporting

  • Experience with ServiceNow

  • Experience with cloud Service Catalogues including current services and services in transition.

  • Experience managing the Service Level Management Process

  • Experience with monitoring and measuring the achievements of the IT organization in comparison with the SLAs

  • Experience with SLAs & KPI/Metrics

  • Experience with large complex programs providing ITIL service delivery management

  • Active Secret Clearance with SSBI or Favorable T5

  • 8570 compliance – IAM I or IAT II (Security+ CE or equivalent)

  • Key Personnel requirements:

  • ITIL Expert Certification REQUIRED

  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. --- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelors of Science in IT, Engineering or related area

  • Experience working in Agile teams

  • Ability to get Top Secret clearance

  • Certifications with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure


  • Washington DC area, for proximity to Fort Belvoir customer site, Tele-work 80%, 1-day required n-site each week


  • May be required to attend planning events or to work from a secured location
