Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Schoolage

Details about this opportunity:

  • Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for school age children

  • Full Time or Fee for Service, Flexible scheduling available!

  • Compensation: $50 - 70/hour

  • Please note this is an average. Rates are determined by service provided, professional experience, and license/certifications held.

  • Monday-Friday, following school calendar

  • Positions available in Nassau County, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions for all children on your caseload.

  • Administer and write up occupational therapy evaluations.

  • Ongoing communication with lead supervisors & coordinators, specifically related to case management.

  • Maintain professionalism with families, school teams, and other professionals

  • Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs.

  • Create and maintain schedules with assigned individual families/school personnel.

  • Collects data on each IEP goal and reports on progress quarterly.

  • Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.

About You:

And this background:

  • Current New York State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License

  • Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families is preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Word and E xcel

  • Bilingual is a plus
