Imperial Dade Warehouse Receiving Coordinator in Nashville, Tennessee

American Paper & Twine, a division of Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, has a job open in Nashville, TN. The Receiving Department is hiring a talented Receiving Coordinator!

This position will be responsible for optimizing inbound freight scheduling, communicating with Vendors and AP&T supply chain, and backing up the receiving manager in overseeing the safe execution of receiving operations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys working as a team and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The position’s standard hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm.

You will:

+ + Experience in coordinating and optimizing third party carrier schedules with labor allocations and efficiencies.

  • Loading, tracking, and maintaining Advance Shipment Notices (ASN).

  • Experience with scheduling systems.

  • Implementing and enforcing the company’s carrier accountability guidelines with third party carriers.

  • Point of contact for internal departments, i.e., Account Support and Purchasing on ETAs of product.

  • Point of contact for carriers and vendors for scheduling appointments and changes to appointments.

  • Expediting inbound orders when necessary.

  • Ensuring packing list information is correct and/or notifying the purchasing department to address discrepancies or issues.

  • Provide safety leadership for receiving dock operations.

  • Consistently at work on time.

You have:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Cherry Picker experience preferred

  • Stand-Up/Sit-Down Forklift experience preferred

  • Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred

  • Flexible enough to walk, twist, bend, stoop, pull, grip, and lift merchandise.

  • Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs., pull 2200 lbs. using a pallet jack, and pull or push 200 lbs. using a two-wheeler.

  • Experience with the wholesale distribution environment preferred.

  • 3-5 years’ work experience preferably in receiving, inbound logistics or supply chain expediting.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Good math aptitude and record keeping abilities

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities

  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards, rules, and regulations
