Job Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions of this job position include, but are not limited to, the following tasks and duties an employee encounters while performing this job. Drives diesel tractor and trailers in DISH yard and local vendor locations
Assists with loading and unloading when needed
Performs warehouse duties during the course of a work-shift when required
Performs the shipping and receiving functions during the course of a work-shift when required
Operates all associated material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts
Maintains knowledge of and understands the maintenance and safety standards associated with tractor- trailer operations in accordance with state DOT requirements where required
Maintains the organization of the trailers and traffic in the yard
Maintains the cleanliness of the yard and surrounding area
Effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff and company personnel
Effective Presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written/oral communication, and customer service skills
Ability to meet attendance requirements which may occasionally require overtime
Proficiency in the English language to communicate, read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
