In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and more, utilize your analytical prowess to identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement scalable systems, and drive automation to enhance efficiency. You will be instrumental in identifying and leading strategic sourcing activities to lower the overall total cost of ownership for Amazon operations. The team is dedicated to ensuring equipment and service availability to meet business owner requirements. We are seeking individuals who can drive sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts. Key job responsibilities

  • Establish sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and execute contracts to drive cost savings.

  • Drive and manage supplier relationships to enhance collaboration and achieve business goals.

  • Manage high spend categories, being accountable for cost savings, with a minimum of $80M in category spend.

  • Lead strategic sourcing activities to lower the overall total cost of ownership for Amazon operations.

  • Develop and negotiate framework agreements to reduce risk and support local teams in project-specific needs.

A day in the life

As an Supply Chain Manager, your day is filled with a variety of responsibilities that keep the complex global supply chain running smoothly. You start your day by facilitating the flow of information between various stakeholders, including Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), Vendor Managers, Customs, Program Managers, and the broader Supply Chain team.

Resolving any potential issues that could affect lead times and delivery accuracy is a top priority. You leverage your research skills, querying internal tools and making real-time decisions, to provide timely resolutions. Effective communication with stakeholders, whether via phone or email, is essential to ensuring a seamless supply chain.

Throughout the day, you manage and oversee cross-functional programs, applying your creative problem-solving skills to navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios. Fostering collaboration with both internal and external partners is a key part of your role, as you work to optimize resource allocation and ensure the success of these critical initiatives.

Identifying and mitigating risks before they escalate into major issues is another crucial aspect of your responsibilities. You regularly communicate with senior managers and business leaders, providing updates and insights to support key business objectives.

Working within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, you measure and document your activities, demonstrating your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • 1+ years of supply chain experience

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

    • Experience working with global logistics networks and international transportation
    • Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export processes
    • Familiarity with logistics service providers and carrier management
    • Experience identifying and mitigating risks in a complex logistics environment
    • Fluency in Spanish
