Position Description

This is a Full-Time, Non-Civil Service position with Metro Action Commission with health, dental, vision, and other insurance benefits. Partner with community-based organizations to create systems and structures to support youth employment, leadership, financial literacy programs and strategies for skill building. Ensures the program’s compliance with all local, state and federal guidelines and regulations. Uphold the Mission, Vision and Core values of the MAC including exemplary internal and external customer service, teamwork, and treatment of all persons with respect, dignity, and compassion.

Typical Duties

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, support and manage elements of Metropolitan Action Commission’s various initiatives with a focus on designing/implementing exemplary practice for delivery of services, engagement of community and leadership development.

  • Coordinating the implementation of designated contracted services.

  • Coordinate the evaluation of customer focused campaigns as well as conduct regular customer feedback opportunities.

  • Interacts with team members and external partners to present research results, evaluate policies and practices that impact customer experiences and success.

  • Work with volunteers and temporary staff in assuring they are trained on and carry out the agency visions and goals related to customer engagement and experience.

  • Act as a problem solver and strategist not simply a problem identifier in carrying out strategies to train, guide, and assist in the improvement of the customer experience.

  • Leads, coaches, and supports a team to identify opportunities to improve customer experience and design program/project management processes and practices.

  • Utilize and leverage communication platform to foster understanding and alignment to the business objectives and the achievement of required results.

  • Assist in design of youth services and engagement performance objectives to evaluate and monitor to meet desired outcomes.

  • Collaborates with existing partnerships to understand the current resources that are readily available to youth and families.

  • Evaluate monitoring activities of all service areas for efficiency and effectiveness and make recommendations to enhance systems, when necessary.

  • Generate, analyze and interpret program information reports and utilize the information to recommend and implement strategies to assist programmatic continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in social work, business administration or a related field and four (4) years of regulation and compliance experience.

Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.

Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.

  • Experience in working with families with low incomes.

  • Knowledge of human development, family dynamics and needs of youth.

  • Knowledge of community resources.

  • Knowledgeable of local, state and federal regulations.

  • A Master’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
