In the NA Direct Fulfillment (DF) team our wildly important goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as fast as feasibly possible, safely, on time, in full...every time. To do this, we have to continually innovate in our supply chain, plan for, design and manage our evolving transportation and Vendor networks.

The Program Manager, will work with the NA and other Regional DF teams to develop and integrate products, create processes, and build mechanisms that continuously improve the Customer Experience as measured by the Speed and Accuracy metrics, and also improve the Vendor’s ease of doing business and growth opportunity with Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

• Act as reputable partner across organizations: The Program manager will own the relationship between DF and various organization leaders to cultivate partnership, transparency and ownership requiring high level of relationship management skills.

• Develop at-scale solutions: The program manager will conceptualize, trial, expand and scale solutions-based programs to improve on-time shipping and speed across NA

• Lead cross-functional workstreams: The program manager will lead initiatives spanning across Product, Tech and Ops teams to automate and optimize various processes both internally and externally.

• Data-driven: The program manager will be a relentless advocate of making data-driven decisions. They will challenge and refine proposals through their keen understanding of the business, applying statistical methods of analysis and ensure an evidence-based approach to programs.

• Long term visionary: The program manager will take an open-minded approach and launch workstreams prioritizing long-term value alongside developing their charter.

• Stakeholder Communication: The program manager will own creating, refining and presenting documents of their charter to senior leadership. The leader will demonstrate ability to peer-influence as well as gaining alignment across teams.

A day in the life

-Directly outreach to vendors to root-cause and execute scalable solutions to improve delivery accuracy and speed for our largest marketplace, North America.

-Work with Product, Tech and other Ops stakeholders to contribute to development of processes and new launches

-Manage, execute and report to leadership by owning a specific program with scope and impact across North America

-Conduct deep dives using various data analytics tools to derive meaning from data and present to leadership with proposed next steps

-Own end to end various initiatives that requires working cross functionally and holding Tech & Non-Tech teams accountable

-Act as reputable thought partner for various stakeholders to validate business opportunities by thorough business understanding and analytical knowledge

About the team

The North America Direct Fulfillment is a fast growing, dynamic team responsible for driving operational excellence and growth for an alternative fulfillment channel shipping directly from the Vendor to the Consumer. We've several big plans to better fulfill our customers with a wider selection while being at benchmark for delivery accuracy and speed. You'll be working with a diverse team focused on driving growth, improvement while having fun!

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
