Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Senior Marketing Insights Analyst at HCA Healthcare, you will be working within the Marketing Operations organization and helping the Marketing Insights team provide analyses on the performance of marketing tactics and campaigns to the organization. Our goal is to use the power of analysis to optimize marketing operations and spend, while also proving the value of marketing initiatives and campaigns. Using enterprise technology and applications, the analyst is expected to work efficiently, and provide value through insights to inform our stakeholders and guide marketing strategy. The analyst will use every skill at their disposal to deliver quality insights and analysis while trying to understand complex and ambiguous problems. The Senior Marketing Analyst supports the Manager of Marketing Insights by providing value to the organization through analyses on marketing tactics and campaigns and optimizing marketing strategy.

The Senior Marketing Insights Analyst is a motivated individual who needs little guidance on how to approach a difficult question from the business. This role is expected to have an understanding of traditional marketing KPIs and financial concepts, as well as a background in marketing systems spanning all marketing channels. The analyst should have experience communicating difficult concepts within the marketing organization and our cross-functional partners to drive decision-making and overall strategy.

What you will do in this role:

· Ability to independently work on a project from an ambiguous idea, conceptualize, gather requirements, find the correct data sources, and work with data to create the insights that fuel the business

· Be a leader within the team and inform decision making amongst stakeholders using visuals, analysis, and effective communication

· Leverage enterprise business intelligence tools to create visuals that helps the analyst communicate their insights clearly to stakeholders to inform marketing strategy

· Apply critical thinking and develop revenue and attribution models as they relate to marketing tactics and campaigns

· Lead the development of the logic and intelligence behind consumer profiles and personas to enrich our analyses and provide better insights to our stakeholders

· Be a thought leader in product and data integration into the team’s data and analytics strategy

· Work with the Marketing Automation team on establishing processes for data management between our systems/platforms to support customer engagement initiatives

· Collaborate with stakeholders from across the organization including marketing and digital operations, IT, clinical operations, and other groups across the organization

· Organization of workflows and processes for reporting to ensure sustainability and other team members have visibility into project life cycle

What qualifications you will need:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, statistics or other related field

· Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders and team members across a complex organization

· 5+ years of experience in an analytics role with team leadership experience

· Experience in developing requirements for reporting needs and communicating that effort across teams and departments

· Proficient in building reports and analyses using business intelligence tools, specifically PowerBI and Tableau

· Experience working with financial data and have an understanding of basic financial concepts

· Proficient writing SQL queries and querying databases, making connections between different sources

· Experience working with large data sets from different sources and combining those data in analyses

· Problem solving; desire to work in an environment with fluid priorities and ambiguous requests
