How you make a difference

The Procurement Director drives the organization's procurement strategy, ensuring a seamless and efficient supply chain while delivering high-quality products and services at optimal costs. This pivotal role involves developing innovative sourcing plans, negotiating supplier contracts, and implementing procurement policies that align with regulatory and ethical standards. As a strategic partner, the Procurement Director collaborates with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to achieve business objectives, enhance cost efficiency, and maintain supplier relationships that support long-term growth and success. This position is perfect for a leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about building impactful procurement solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with company goals, optimizing supply chain processes, reducing costs, and improving quality.

  • Supplier Relationship Management : Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation to ensure reliable supply and service levels.

  • Cost-Saving Initiatives : Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, contract renegotiation, and supplier consolidation while maintaining quality standards.

  • Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure procurement activities comply with regulations, company policies, and ethical standards while implementing risk management practices to mitigate supply chain disruptions.

  • Team Leadership and Technology : Manage and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and leverage technology and data analytics to enhance procurement processes and transparency.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • Preferred: Master’s degree in business administration or related field.

Experience:

  • Required: Eight (8) years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field with three (3) years in a leadership role.

  • Preferred: Eight (8) years of experience in procurement, supply chain management in the healthcare industry.

Certification:

  • Preferred: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).
