Amazon Principal Program Manager, DSP Operational Efficiency Team in Nashville, Tennessee

The DSP Operational Efficiency Team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Principal Program Manager to join us and help improve the DSP experience. A successful Principal Program Manager must be able to work independently, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be able to influence internal/external partners at all levels of the organization. This role will particularly suit someone with strong analytical abilities, relationship building skills, and stellar project management capabilities. To be successful, you must also have very strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will own communicating program progress very crisply in various business reviews.

In this role, you will be responsible for building a team that manages external contracts to support the world's largest logistics and delivery network, alongside internal tools and processes to maximize the flow of information and analytics across a broad internal stakeholder group, with a heavy legal focus. This role will be global in nature and include frequent interfacing with operational, technical, and programmatic stakeholders. You will analyze data and insights from various channels to diagnose process issues, identify improvement opportunities, and partner with technology teams to deliver new features or tools. Stakeholder management is a substantial element of the role and daily bandwidth. This role will manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity, balance speed with quality, and advocate on behalf of the customer to provide high-performance solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
