Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Prepares patients for and conducts routine Neurodiagnostic procedures, such as neonatal exams, at the bedside, and in critical care units, on all ages of patients served by the department with minimal guidance. Collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results and assists other senior technologists or medical staff with complex recordings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs all Neurodiagnostic procedures as assigned associated with the proper execution of EEG and at least one other modality in accordance with the established department and hospital policies and procedures.
• Assists to identify patient and family learning needs and provides pertinent information regarding the procedure that is appropriate for age and level of learning to the patient and/or family.
• Trains other technologists.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Diagnostic Testing (Novice): Demonstrates proficiency of diagnostic testing in practical applications. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results.
• Equipment Maintenance (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the ability to maintain equipment, products, or systems in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Assures that parts inventory is sufficient.
• Medical Terminology & Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate medical terminology and documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Patient Evaluation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the ability to conduct a patient evaluation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Capable of effectively assessing the relative merits of alternative products or services.
