Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer
Job Description
You will be responsible for designing material handling equipment such as conveyor belts and other machinery. You will receive specific requirements from the facility and be tasked with designing solutions. This can include adding capacity to the site, retrofitting areas for new equipment, or rearranging existing equipment within the facility. You will also figure out layouts of the site and create the scope of work for the project. Responsibilities include writing RFPs, working with vendors for site selection, and working on engineering design and hand-off to execution. Up to 50% travel is required for site visits. Project management skills are required. Hands-on design experience in a manufacturing setting is also necessary. The role is heavily weighted toward candidates with design experience in automotive, warehouse systems, or manufacturing.

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 11 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Nashville, Tennessee and some days remote.
Work Environment
You will report to the Industrial Design Manager. The position is an 11-month contract initially. After 11 months, you will either be evaluated for a full-time role through a formal interview process, be extended for up to another 13 months if a full-time role is not available, or if the contract is not extended, you will begin finding alternative employment either within the company in another department or with other local customers.
Compensation Range: $55-$65/hr
