The role Job Summary As part of the Global Marketing organization, the Marketing Development Representative (MDR) is a key extension of SoftwareOne’s marketing and sales teams; responsible for converting marketing qualified leads into sales opportunities and generating new and high-quality client prospects and pipeline. MDRs will leverage email, social and phone calls to schedule meetings, answer questions and learn more about what is vital to their prospect so they can facilitate a smooth handoff into the appropriate sales team. Role and Responsibilities Respond to prospective leads from marketing-generated activities and campaigns Work with prospects to understand their key business challenges Convert prospects into potential customers via telephone and email initiatives Research companies of diverse sizes and verticals and identify key contacts; perform account intelligence as needed. Proactively generate new, high-quality sales qualified prospects Meet all key performance metrics and goals on a weekly and monthly and quarterly basis (including but not limited to; Outreach Tasks, Emails, Phone calls, following internal processes) Manage the Outreach (Sales Tool) and CRM databases, Understand SoftwareOne’s portfolio of solutions and services and the buying process. Analyze data and understand what actions could lead to better results, provide recommendations based on the insights you gain. Provide a valuable feedback loop between marketing and sales based on your interactions with leads. You will share insights about lead quality, customer preferences, pain points, and objections. Success Criteria KPIs; Lead Response Time, Number of Qualified Leads passed to Sales (Meetings Booked), Conversion rates on Marketing leads Organizational Alignment This role is part of the team that bridges the gap between marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQOs) by following up on marketing-generated leads. In turn, developing sales pipeline both influenced and directly attributed to marketing. What we need to see from you What you offer Qualifications: Previous experience (1-2 years) in sales, marketing or customer service. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Proficiency in using CRM and/or other sales tools is preferred. You have an internal motivation and drive to succeed in a goal-driven position You are willing to learn in a fast-paced sales environment You possess the ability to embrace feedback and hold yourself accountable You show an eagerness to learn technology basics and apply them to business situations You are self-assured, curious, not afraid to pick up the phone and reach out to a cold contact You are a hard worker with a strong sense of urgency You are a team player and FUN to work with!
