Job Summary:

Marketing Development Manager

General Comments: The Marketing Development Project Manager will contribute to the success of team operations and support in the creation and execution of strategies, plans and initiatives that support innovative models of care and advances VUMC business interests whose primary audiences are other businesses (B2B). The position provides critical operations and project management support for the Business Engagement Strategies Team (BES Team) and plays a key role in achieving VUMC’s strategic growth goals.

Purpose of Position: The Project Manager's primary focus will be to coordinate and manage complex team operations, which may include marketing programs in collaboration with senior leadership, lead managers and the content team. (Program elements include digital campaigns, web development, advertising, PR and other forms of internal/external communication, utilizing a wide array of digital platforms.)

The position is instrumental in team operations - identifying and developing strategies to refine team processes while streamlining and optimizing performance to create efficiencies which will improve team productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates team meeting agendas and serves as the facilitator in the project scoping meetings. Sends follow-up notes with clear next steps, roles and responsibilities, including outreach to key stakeholders

• Communicates requirements to internal stakeholders and helps maintain adherence to project plans to prevent scope creep

• Helps support external sourcing to ensure BES Team does not exceed anticipated budget/PO requirements

• Assist in budget tracking and allocations, organizes quarterly and annual planning to ensure the budget tracking is consistent, accurate, up-to-date and in line with vendor POs

• Manages team flighting calendar to assist with project prioritization and promote visibility across business units

• Creates and maintains processes and digital approaches used to track team effort and project milestones, while maintaining the team dashboard and reporting structures.

• Manages the governance of the team Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to help guide cross-functional work

• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal resources and external

vendors/agencies to support the management of complex projects to ensure

timely, high-quality strategy development and deliverables that align with the vision and purpose while maintaining team processes for vendor projects

• Provide writing and/or web development support, as needed

• Provide marketing project management support across multiple channels and business units for maximum impact on various target audiences, including existing accounts and growth targets

• Manage internal and external content approval processes in collaboration with marketing and content leads

• Manage the execution and delivery of internal and external client and executive presentations, particularly those that communicate BES Team work

• Manage the purchase, distribution and organization of promotional items for internal and external audiences

Experience:

• Strong project management/team operations experience managing marketing programs/projects, executing complex team projects with tight timelines and multiple stakeholders

• Proven track record in the use of digital tools to document, track, manage and maintain internal and external accountability to project goals and deliverables

• Strong understanding of new digital marketing concepts and approaches for engaging and converting B2B targets

• Demonstrated ability working with vendors and efficient management of budgets

• Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel, and Adobe products such as InDesign and Marketo

• Knowledge of collaboration and work management software such as SmartSheet and ProjectPlace

• Knowledge and experience with CRM platforms

• Familiar with video platforms such as Wistia, Vimeo and YouTube

• Familiar with content management systems such as Wordpress, Drupal and Brandfolder with a strong desire to explore new digital tools and to stay apprised of new technologies
