Job Summary and Qualifications

This position leads and coordinates efforts within the cross-functional 3M HIM Technologies team to deliver highly available, leading-edge coding technologies and outstanding customer service, supporting HCA Healthcare’s revenue cycle goals. The candidate has a high-level understanding of the regulatory project lifecycle. As part of the broader 3M HIM Technologies team, this role collaborates with business partners to develop, implement, and maintain an innovative, reliable, and cost-effective coding system.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Personnel Management

Set and drive the execution of department goals and work priorities.

Estimate resource allocations needed for various initiatives and approve timesheets.

Mentor staff on growth opportunities and complete performance reviews.

Recruit and hire analysts and engineers for the functional area.

Management of Regulatory Releases

Manage and execute the maintenance of the regression test set across multiple EHRs for all 3M software releases.

Oversee development of release-specific use case test sets and effective communication with end users.

Ensures coordination of necessary regulatory and functional updates across coding applications, EHR systems, patient accounting, and EDW.

Collaborates with various 3M HIS teams to plan and deploy updates to 3M 360 Encompass, including quarterly regulatory updates and other product enhancements, ensuring seamless coordination with product implementations and integrations.

Vendor Relations and Contract Management

Ensure 3M HIS delivers high-quality products and comprehensive information to ITG stakeholders and business partners for software releases.

Collaborates directly with the 3M HIS National Account Representative and other 3M HIS management to ensure HCA Healthcare ITG and its customers receive top-tier service.

Order 3M HIS applications for eligible contract customers.

Oversee the 3M invoice and AMA invoice reconciliation and payments.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree – Required

EXPERIENCE

5 or more years of IT experience – Required

MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

1 or more year(s) of experience in a leadership role - Required

Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING

Registered Health Information Admin (RHIA) - Preferred

Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - Preferred
