Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead EEG Technician demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients appropriate to the age of the patients. Performs and analyzes a variety of neurodiagnostic tests, involved in the quality improvement program, promotes customer service, appropriately inputs charge input, trains and mentors other techs in the department.

• Administers all applicable neurodiagnostic tests to patient population

• Maintains compliance with federal, state and other governing bodies such as Joint Commission.

• Conducts periodic audits of patient records ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

• Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

• Completes data entry for assigned areas/tasks.

• Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars/professional development as requested

What qualifications you will need:

• Experience in a Neurodiangostic department or a graduate of an approved EEG program is preferred

• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, physicians and employees

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
