Job Summary and Qualifications

As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for providing project management, strategic support and process improvement support in matters related to HR operations. You will partner with key HR subject matter experts to deliver solutions in areas such as data/analytics, transformation initiatives, talent acquisition, HR business partner support, service center support, benefits, compensation, compliance, employee relations, change management, training, organizational design, job mapping and employee data management. You will provide support via counsel, guidance and direction to HR Leadership, local HR Business Partner teams, the HRIS team and all Corporate HR Centers of Expertise and third-party vendors as it relates to assigned project. You will improve processes by identifying ways to enhance the experience for all types of users who interact with our key HR operating systems/tools. Meet evolving business needs through automation, increased efficiencies, training/education and change management or other types of process improvement. You will create and manage project plans to ensure project deliverables and completion dates are met. You will drive execution and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and retain key relationships with HR Leadership Team members and their direct reports.

  • Define requirements, manage priorities, document decisions, manage resourcing needs, collaborate on funding needs and ensure effective functioning of projects.

  • Identify process improvements and enable process efficiencies.

  • Analyze, research and design functional specifications from internal and external industry sources for HR best practices to meet business requirements.

  • Performs workflow analysis to determine best process solutions for HR processes, identifying non-value added steps and proposing new process improvements.

  • Develop detailed project plans, route deliverables; obtain management sign-offs, supply status reports, and supervise implementation.

  • Develop and run analyses, which include timeline slippage, critical path and other ad hoc requests.

  • Perform testing and documentation of new system features.

  • Develop and participate in customer/user classroom training.

  • Coordinate and/or direct the activities of project team members.

  • Facilitate project meetings.

  • Provide strategic direction on HR matters associated with assigned projects.

  • Manage portfolio and prioritization of projects according to HR strategy, customer and compliance requirements

  • Work with appropriate HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to support projects

  • Identify and solve complex cross-functional challenges related to projects, including intersections with ITG, Corporate HR Centers of Expertise, Payroll HR business partners in the field and third-party vendors.

  • Develop and retain key relationships with all parties involved on assigned projects

  • Develop and maintain project documentation.

  • Develop and maintain support documentation for HR teams, as needed.

  • Develop and deliver effective change management and communications content, as needed.

  • Establish, cultivate and maintain strong working relationships within HR Organization and ensure a clear understanding of operational objectives relative to projects.

  • Respond appropriately to time-sensitive HR issues.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree is required

  • 5+ years of experience in project management is required

  • 3+ years of experience in HR or related field is preferred

  • CAPM or PMP certification is preferred

  • Agile Methodology is preferred

  • Scrum Certification is preferred

  • Six Sigma certification is preferred

  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite is preferred

  • Previous Business Partner experience preferred; Deep understanding and knowledge of HR Systems and dependencies; Clear understanding of Physician Services’ Group business and structure required to be successful is preferred
