Job Description
As a Google Cloud Native Architect, you will play a key role in crafting and architecting scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud. You will work closely with product teams, collaborators, and other architects to build innovative and efficient cloud architectures. Your expertise in cloud-native patterns, containerization, microservices, Kubernetes, and serverless computing will help guide the transformation of businesses using GCP.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture Design & Strategy:
Design and architect Google Cloud-native solutions, including cloud infrastructure, containerization, and microservices architectures.
Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native applications using GCP services such as GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
Define cloud security standard processes and ensure the design aligns with the organization’s security and compliance standards.
Develop and document architectural patterns, processes, and standards for cloud-native environments.
Must have progressing skills on Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
Delivery:
Crafting/developing APIs (including the API Lifecycle, API Management). Understand microservice development (6-7 years).
Ability to write quality unit and end–to–end tests and debug and optimize existing and new code
Experience with Micro services development and design patterns.
Experience with developing in Agile teams
Understanding of DevOps, specifically development, Build and Deployment tools (JIRA, SVN, GitHub, ANT/Maven/Gradle, Jenkins)
Experience developing cloud native open source including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Dataflow
Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Design patterns.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Stay updated with the latest GCP features and services, as well as industry trends in cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices.
Champion automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
Contribute to the creation of reference architectures and technical papers to share insights and standard methodologies across the organization.
Required Skills
Experience:
7 years of experience in designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications and architectures, with at least 3 years working with Google Cloud Platform.
Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework, design and implementation of REST APIs.
Experience integrating with Cloud/SaaS applications, APIs, SDK of packaged applications and legacy applications.
Experience with integration Architecture concepts and patterns, including Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture, Batch Integration, RESTful JSON services, Pub / Sub etc. including Event Driven Architecture.
Deep understanding of cloud-native design principles, microservices, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, GKE).
Expertise in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Google Cloud Storage, and IAM (Identity and Access Management).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager), and DevOps practices.
Proven track record of working in agile environments and managing cloud migration or transformation projects.
Skills:
Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, such as event-driven, serverless, microservices, and multi-cloud hybrid architectures.
Proficiency in cloud security, networking, and cost optimization strategies within Google Cloud.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with partners and lead technical discussions.
Certifications:
Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect (or equivalent certification).
Additional certifications in Kubernetes, DevOps, or related cloud technologies are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Knowledge of machine learning, AI, and data engineering on Google Cloud.
