Exciting Opportunity Alert! We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Controller to keep our client's financial operations running smoothly. As a leader in sustainability in the Nashville area, our client has ground-breaking growth plans for the next 3-5 years!

You will handle crucial tasks including managing the daily accounts, preparing financial statements, and processing tax data.

Your role as the primary point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities ensures seamless financial operations, enhancing our relationships with these key financial partners.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Skillfully manage and maintain our company's day-to-day accounts.

  • Support the team with diligent financial planning.

  • Ensure accuracy in budget forecasting and cash flow management.

  • Rigorously adhere to all U.S. GAAP and Tax compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.

  • At least 6 years of experience in a hands-on accounting role, and preferably 3 years as controller.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.

  • Solid understanding and ability to apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position

• Proficient in Accounting Functions including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Auditing and Budget Processes

• Strong skills in QuickBooks or similar accounting software

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred

• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.

• Proven ability to handle the company’s financials with confidentiality and discretion.
